Molti, forse troppi, sono stati i cambiamenti a cui l’emergenza sanitaria ci ha costretti. Eppure, quando insegui un ideale ben preciso, le trasformazioni altro non sono che sfide di adattabilità su cui testare la propria resistenza. Lo sa bene il Giffoni Film Festival, che fino a pochi mesi fa guardava all’estate 2020 come l’anno della grande celebrazione del suo cinquantesimo compleanno. Tuttavia, il COVID-19 non è bastato per fermarne l’esuberanza: rispettando rigorosamente le norme sanitarie necessarie alla tutela, soprattutto dei ragazzi, il Giffoni si farà in quattro, nel vero senso della parola! Infatti, a fine Agosto prenderà il via quello che sarà un percorso suddiviso in quattro tappe principali, ognuna delle quali ospiterà target diversi di jurors coinvolti nelle ormai storiche attività giffoniane.

I protocolli di sicurezza hanno imposto dovute precauzioni, ragion per cui saranno soltanto ragazzi provenienti dalla regione Campania a prendere fisicamente parte all’evento. Ma tranquilli, il team di Gubitosi non ha mai dimenticato le altre centinaia di jurors dislocate per il mondo! È per questo che nasceranno ben 51 hub, nazionali ed internazionali, per permettere quotidianamente una partecipazione attiva via streaming. E indovinate? A conferma del sodalizio e dell’amicizia che lega il DFF al GiffoniFF, la città di Ceccano sarà ufficialmente tra i canali di collegamento che porteranno virtualmente i nostri ragazzi a Giffoni Valle Piana per visionare e votare i film in concorso.

Tutti, in ogni parte del mondo, avevamo aspettative diverse nei confronti di questo 2020. Invece ci siamo trovati a fare i conti prima con la solitudine di un necessario lockdown e poi con l’impellente bisogno di reinventarci per riuscire a convivere con un nemico non ancora sconfitto. Non è semplice oggi, forse non lo sarà neanche domani, ma i sognatori fanno esattamente questo: sfidare le difficoltà per abbattere ogni tipo di barriera, sempre in vista di quell’unico grande obiettivo che è la nostra ragion d’essere. Oggi il Giffoni, domani il Dieciminuti Film Festival, fermandosi soltanto per ripartire più forti.

DFF brings Ceccano among the Italian hubs in collaboration with #Giffoni50

This health crisis forced us to take many – perhaps too many – changes. However, when you are chasing a very specific ideal, changes are nothing but challenges to see if we can adapt and withstand those challenges. Giffoni Film Festival knows it very well. Until a few months ago, they were looking forward to Summer 2020 to celebrate their 50^th birthday. Actually, they still are, because COVID-19 was not enough to stop them: the Giffoni Film Festival crew will bend over backwards to comply with all the health regulations needed for the protection of everyone involved, especially the youngest. Well, rather than bend, they will actually split the whole area into four main stages. Each stage will host different targets of jurors involved in the historic activities of Giffoni Film Festival.

Security protocols demanded strict precautions, which is why only kids from Campania will be allowed to physically take part to the event. Worry not, though: Gubitosi’s team did not forget about the hundreds of jurors around the world! The 51 national and international hubs were born for this specific reason. This will allow everyone to actively participate to the festival via streaming. And guess what? As proof of the consolidated friendship between DFF and GiffoniFF, Ceccano is officially among the channels that will bring our people to Giffoni Valle Piana to watch and judge the films in competition!

Everyone in the world had different expectations on 2020. Instead, we had to face the loneliness of a necessary lockdown, and then the need to reinvent ourselves in order to fight an enemy that is still very much alive. It is not easy today and maybe it will not be easy tomorrow either, but that is what dreamers do: we face difficulties to destroy any kind of barrier and keep our goals – our raison d’être – in sight. Today, it’s Giffoni; tomorrow, it’s Dieciminuti Film Festival. We are standing still now to come back stronger than ever tomorrow.
