Abbiamo visto storie ambientate negli angoli più disparati del mondo. Ci siamo appassionati, innamorati, commossi, in alcuni casi anche arrabbiati, nel vedere sul grande schermo opere arrivate e selezionate da ogni angolo del mondo, con le loro peculiarità, i loro stili, la loro voglia di dire qualcosa che in tante opere “mainstream” ormai si è persa.

Abbiamo scelto di ribellarci ad una situazione che non ci piaceva più, a una politica che non ci ascoltava più, a un modo arrendevole di accettare sempre a testa bassa tutte le cose negative che questa epoca e questo territorio ci stanno dispensando ormai da anni. Abbiamo detto basta, e in tutta la difficoltà che abbiamo incontrato siamo riusciti a tirare fuori una delle più belle edizioni del DFF degli ultimi anni, in assoluto.

Abbiamo poi scelto di concludere questa ideale marcia ribelle sotto al Palazzo, nella piazza centrale della nostra città, per far sentire forte, fortissimo, che noi ci siamo, siamo qui, e siamo più determinati che mai a cambiare tutto.

Non è stata una passeggiata, è stato un sentiero di montagna, di quelli tortuosi e poco battuti, ed è proprio per questo che, arrivati in cima, ci siamo sentiti prima in debito di ossigeno, per qualche secondo, ma poi, tornata l’adrenalina ai livelli di guardia, ci siamo seduti a guardare il panorama, e lo abbiamo trovato bellissimo.

Per tutto questo, ringraziamo Roberto Cipriani, Ermenegildo Raucci e tutto il personale del Dream Cinema, perché la loro cordialità, disponibilità e apertura nei nostri confronti sono stati tali da farci sentire come a casa già dal primo momento, e ci hanno permesso di offrire al pubblico uno spettacolo migliore per qualità e professionalità.

Ringraziamo Jolly Auto, che come mobility partner ci ha fornito auto elettriche che ci hanno consentito di gestire gli spostamenti rispettando l’ambiente e riducendo le emissioni, in linea con i principi del nostro festival, tra i primi ad essere ecosostenibili in questa regione.

Abbiamo chiuso annunciando sul palco il tema del DFF20, sarà la Città del Cinema, sarà CineCeccano, e lo porteremo in tutti i luoghi possibili, perché quando non ti piace come è stata apparecchiata la tavola, tu disfala e rifalla di nuovo.

We have seen stories set in the remotest corners of the world. We were intrigued, in love, in tears, and on some occasions even upset by all the amazing films we watched on the big screen. Works that came from every corner of the planet with so many different peculiarities, styles and desire to communicate something that so many of the mainstream media struggle to communicate these days.

We chose to rebel against a situation that didn’t suit us anymore, against politicians that were no longer there for us, against a defeated attitude that had led us to accept conditions below the standard we required because that’s all this territory had to offer for years. We said enough is enough, and despite all the difficulties we faced, we managed to put together one of the best editions of DFF overall.

We then chose to conclude this ideal rebellion under the Administration building in our town so that they could hear us, loud and clear, and know that we are more determined than ever to make change happen.

It wasn’t easy at all, it was a steep and arduous mountain path, and when we reached the top we found ourselves gasping for oxygen for a few seconds. But then the adrenaline kicked in, and we were able to admire the most breathtaking view. We finally sat down and let that sink in.

For all this and more, we would like to extend our thanks to Roberto Cipriani, Ermenegildo Raucci and the entirety of the staff at Dream Cinema. Their hospitality, kindness and openness towards our team made us feel at home from the moment we stepped in the building. They made it possible for us to present the best edition of our festival to day in terms of quality and professionalism.

We want to thank our mobility partner Jolly Auto who provided electric vehicles to facilitate the logistics in the utmost respect for the environment in line with the values of our festival, one of the first eco friendly projects in the region.

We concluded this edition of the Festival by announcing the theme for DFF20: CineCeccano, the City of Cinema. We will take this festival everywhere and anywhere, because when you don’t like the cards you were dealt you have to deal them again yourself.
